About this project

MyFeetish is a social platform for feet content - the familiar shape of Instagram, rebuilt for a niche where anonymity is the point. Members post short videos and photos, browse a personalised feed and an explore page, follow each other, comment, message one to one and sell access to their content. That anonymity is also what shapes the architecture: users arrive with no identity to verify, which makes the platform a magnet for bots. Past 10.000 registered accounts and still shipping.

The challenge

Bots and spam were the defining engineering theme. Anonymous signup means no email or phone number to lean on, so identity had to be inferred from the device itself - fingerprinting, cross-account clustering and classification signals feeding a moderation queue. An early design tried to out-clever the fingerprinting SDK and produced false positives; the correction was to trust the visitor ID as identity and the flags as signals.
